Stuff n stuff

Haven't updated in a while.
A few new kids got hired at the crafting job, and I've put in six applications for a second job.
Hoping I'll get dental benefits upon being hired.
That would be great, then I could go ahead with the torture my dentist wants to put me through, and still be able to afford my gyn visit.

Next year I won't wait so late to plant the annuals. As for the perennials, I'm not sure what to expect when.
It's gotten a bit chilly all of a sudden.
Two days ago I was sweating bullets and only wearing a tank-top and loose shorts. Today I'm wearing heavy sweat-pants and a fleece sweater.
But I'm looking forward to dividing crocus bulbs. Still a little early yet, but it's only a couple months more.

My sister's leaving for New Zealand sometime in September, probably to be gone for the next six years. Part of me wonders how she'll fare in her travels. Part of me can't wait for her to just leave.

Now that I've paid off the last of my loan, plus the prospect of having extra pay soon, I keep thinking of how many extra things I would like to have.
A new laptop, a new mp3 player, more books, more clothes, maybe a gym membership or a yoga class, more materials for my plants, materials to teach myself watercolor painting . . .
My own apartment and all that comes with.
Just to name a few.
I have to keep reminding myself that with the prospect of more dental torture, I'm not out of the woods yet. Plus I should really, really look into getting medical and dental insurance.
Which in and of themselves cost a lot, probably just about as much as the monthly payments I made for the loan.

Then my mom pointed out that the kids who just got hired at work are probably making more than I am since they got hired after the minimum wage went up. Versus I got hired when it was still two dollars lower than it is now, even if I did get a minimal raise after the annual review.

Hm.
Today's payday.

I should really start keeping track of my working hours. I'll know better what to expect on my paycheck.

I definitely have the urge to spend on books and chocolate right now.

And this layout needs to change.
